Judge Debbie Kunselman is uniquely qualified to serve on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. For the past 6 years, she has served on the Pennsylvania Superior Court where she decided over 3000 appeals, including several high-profile cases. Previously, Judge Kunselman served for 12 years on the trial court in Beaver County. In 2005, she was the first woman elected to that court. She presided over hundreds of civil, criminal, juvenile, and family law cases. Before taking the bench, Kunselman practiced civil litigation for 13 years in Western Pennsylvania, including 8 years as the chief solicitor for Beaver County. She graduated with honors from both Penn State University and Notre Dame Law School. Judge Kunselman has been married for 28 years and is the mother of 3 adult children. The Pennsylvania Bar Association rated her “Highly Recommended” for the office of Supreme Court Justice.
